How much does it cost to play in LUG? |
The cost to play in LUG varies by sport and by city. This fluctuation is due to the cost of facility rentals and insurance by location. Players on a team are collectively responsible for paying the entire team fee. |
How Do Payments Work? |
Every LUG team must pay the entire Team Fee for that sport. Let's look at an example.- For Hockey, if the team fee is $5250 (including tax), this is the total amount owed by Team A, The Bulldogs. During registration each player on The Bulldogs would pay a fixed amount towards their team's total fee. LUG expects that each hockey team has 15 players so each individual player would pay $325 ($5,000/15) at registration.
- If The Bulldogs had 15 players sign up for the season, they would have paid a total of $5250 during registration and be 100% settled with a balance of $0.
- However, if The Bulldogs only had 12 players sign up for the season, their team would have collected $3,900 towards their team fee, meaning they had a balance of $1,350 .
- This balance is owed by The Bulldogs. The Bulldogs could choose to (1) register more players or (2) split the fee amongst their group of 12.
- At the end of the day, teams are responsible for paying 100% of their team fees.
- If teams do not pay their team fee by the payment deadline, LUG charges late fees and may cancel the teams games.

Can I sign up without a team? |
Yes. Players can sign up as Free Agents or full teams. Free Agents should select the Free Agent team in the registration system for their respective division and sport. We will do our best to place all Free Agents on teams, however, we cannot guarantee this for every player. |
How Do Jerseys work? |
LUG provides a specific number of jerseys for every team in all divisions. Hockey teams receive 15 jerseys, Football/Softball receive 12. No additional jerseys will be provided. In order to ensure our teams have jerseys on time for the season, we estimate our jersey needs and order prior to the season. In some cases, team registrations will exceed the number of team sets ordered. In this situation, jerseys will be handed out on a first to register, first to receive basis. Additional team sets will be ordered on a need-to basis. |
